The coating also eliminates virtually all detrimental ultraviolet emissions by filtering the harmful rays, resulting in a secure and productive working environment. Fluorescent Safety Max lamps are available in a full range of colors and wattages including energy saving configurations. Safety Max fluorescent lamps can easily be cleaned simply by removing the lamp, and washing them down with a damp cloth. Because of the protective coating, they are easily and safely disposed of and there is no danger of glass shards, metal fragments or toxic gases escaping. A properly installed and maintained Safety Max fluorescent lamp will last its rated life However, ambient temperatures above 50°C/120°F, poor socket contact, improper wiring or defective ballast will inadvertently affect the safety coating and void all claims. Lamps are not recommended for use in enclosed fixtures.
